MEAL PLAN → Rather than offer 3 meals per day, every day, our itineraries are designed to include meals only where necessary or where they add to your overall experience. Where meals are not included, there will be a wide local choice of restaurants serving a variety of cuisines. This offers you the flexibility on occasion throughout the tour to dine where and when you want and more importantly, maintain an element of variety to your mealtime selections. Prices include breakfast throughout, lunches from Day 2 till Day 10, and dinner is included on Days 1 and 10. Both extensions are inclusive of breakfast.

GRATUITIES → Tips are often the main source of income for those working in the travel industry. Tipping in bars and restaurants is now customary and should be around 10% of your total bill. Tipping for your guide and driver is recommended at 5USD/person/day.

TRAVEL TIPS → This tour includes considerable traveling overland with full days, some early starts and incorporating traditional modes of transport. However, it is hugely rewarding. Light, durable clothing and comfortable footwear is recommended.

NB → The itinerary on this tour is subject to change depending on water levels and road and weather conditions.
The tourist infrastructure in parts of Vietnam is not as developed as in other Far East destinations. Transport may be subject to a delay or change and sometimes roads may be bumpy. Due to the number of steps in and around the main attractions, this tour is not suitable for those with walking difficulties. Vegetarian diets cannot be adequately provided for throughout Vietnam unless advice in advance.
Vietnam celebrates New Year’s Day (Tet) on Feb14 2010. During the week either side of these dates domestic travel increases dramatically and transport availability is limited. Many markets, shops and restaurants close although hotels remain open. Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum is closed every Monday to Friday and throughout October to November.

Day 01: Hanoi Arrival           (D) - 50km/ 1hour drive
Our tour guide will meet and greet you at the airport. Drive to your hotel. Free for the rest of the day. Dinner on a fine rstaurant. Overnight in Hanoi

Day 02: Hanoi City Tour Full day     (B/L) - 100km/ 8hours touring
A guided tours will show you the city's landmarks such as Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, One Pillar Pagoda, The Temple of Literature (First University built in the 11th Century) and Hanoi Fine Art Museum. After lunch, we pay a visit to Hoa Lo Hanoi also known as "Hanoi Hilton" then free walking around Hanoi old quarter for shopping and short visit Dong Xuan market. Enjoy 1 hour cyclo around Hanoi busy streets and the traditional water puppetry show. Free the rest of the day. Overnight in Hanoi

Day 03: Hanoi - Halong Bay (B/L) - 400km/ 7hours drive
Pick up at the hotel after breakfast breakfast. We will transfer you to Halong Bay passing through the scenic countryside. The wondrous Halong Bay is truly one of Vietnam’s most impressive scenic destinations. Heading out of the town we embark on a Junk for an exploration of the legendary bay. This 4hours exciting cruise will provide us a fantastic view of the picturesque scenery blending with the sky and some 3,000 limestone islands rising amazingly from the clear and emerald water. The limestone karsts formations are littered with beaches, grottoes and beautiful caves. Along the way we will anchor for a leisurely swim in a secluded cove and an enjoyable visit to one of the many hidden grottoes beneath towering cliffs. Sailing back to the dock then trasfer back to Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi

Day 04: Hanoi - Ninh Binh visit to Hoa Lu - Trang An (B/L)
After breakfast, we start visiting the two temples honoring King Dinh and Kinh Le, then we transfer to Trang An area where 4km Southwest of Hoa Lu ancient capital inside Trang An Eco tourism complex. Stopping for lunch and boarding sampans to visit many grottoes of Trang An. Then we would land, getting on pick-up car back to hotel for check in. Overnight in Ninh binh

Day 05: Ninh binh - Quang Binh (B/L) - 400km/ 7hours drive:
Wake up in the morning with well-prepared breakfast, take a drive to the next Natural World Heritage of Vietnam - Phong Nha cave located in Quang Binh province. Stop en-rout for lunch at Nghe An. Arrive in Dong Hoi - center of Quang Binh in late afternoon, Check in hotel then free time at leisure. Overnight in Quang Binh

Day 06: Phong Nha cave visit - DMZ tour - Hue - 170km/ 3.5hours drive
8:00 AM Pick up at your hotel then continue to Phong Nha – Ke Bang. Board a sampan and sailing along the Son (RED) river to Phong Nha Cave. The deeper one penetrates, the more magical are the natural aspects of the cave. After 700m, a large dry passage appears, allowing you to discover the cave on foot for a further 500m. You will also have a chance to explore the remains of Cham Altars and the inscriptions inside. Bach for lunch at Dong Hoi town before driving to Hue - the last citadel of Vietnam feudality. Stop off to visit the Vinh Moc underground tunnel, one of the most famous sites of the Vietnam War, the Ben Hai River and Hien Luong Bridge. This whole area was known as the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) during the war. Arrive in Hue in late afternoon. Check in hotel and free at leisure. Overnight in Hue

Day 07: Hue city    (B/ L) - 8hours touring
After breakfast, we start our trip to attractions in Hue including several King Nguyen’s Dynasty tombs which was build in various architectural schemes reflecting each King’s characteristic. Firstly, we take a cruise trip along the romantic Perfume River, which flows through the heart of this evergreen city. The cruise takes us to The ThienMu Buddhist Pagoda, King Minh Mang’s tomb – the largest tomb in Hue. Our transport is waiting at the boat port and will take you to visit Khai Dinh tomb where performs a perfect combination between Western and Eastern architectural styles. Overnight in Hue.

Day 08: Hue - Hoian     (B/ L) - 150km/ 3hours drive
Let’s say goodbye to the charming and peaceful Hue city then we drive to Hoi an riverside town once a famous international trading port in 15th century, now listed as a Cutural World Heritage site. On the way we will take a break at the foot of the Marble Mountain visiting the stone-carving village and the once famous China Beach. Upon arrival we will take a walking tour around the ancient town of Hoi an, visiting some old houses of the merchants in the past. After the walk we’ll have time for testing the fine silk of this region. Overnight in Hoi an

Day 09: Hoi An – My Son         (B/ L) - 50km/ 1hour drive
This morning we will take you to My Son - The Holy land of the extinct civilization which blossomed from the 2nd to the 15th century. The Hindu-like temples will take you back to heyday of the Champa Kingdom.  After an impressed trip taking us back to the golden time of a kingdom, we drive back to Hoi an town. Relax time for your beach leisure. Overnight in HoiAn

Day 10: Hoi An free day - Danang     (B/ L /D) - 40km/ 1hour drive
Today you have full day relaxing in Hoi an. either shopping in the ancient town, or go swimming on Cua Dai beach could be your option for today. Transfer back to Danang. Free time to explore the young and dynamic city of Vietnam. The nightlife in Danang is very exciting, you can choose go to some night club for dancing and some drinks. Or wandering along the beach for romantic moments before saying goodbye to our country. Farewell dinner with our tour guide and driver. Overnight in Danang

Day 11: Danang - Departure (B)
Free until transfer to airport for getting ready for your flight coming back to your home country.
