Day 01: Hanoi Arrival (D)

Holiday Indochina's tour guide welcomes you at Noi Bai International Airport (Hanoi city) then transfer to your hotel. Check in Hanoi - center - located hotel and have some times to relax after a long-haul flight. Depending on your landing time, we will have a short city tour to introduce the city landmarks. The tour typically includes: Ngoc Son temple, Sword Lake, Ancient quarter and a cyclo tour. O/N in Hanoi

Day 02: Hanoi - Ha Long  bay - overnight on cruise (B/L/D)
After breakfast, our tour starts the first highlight by departing directly to the city of Quang Ninh, the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Halong Bay. Upon arrival of Halong bay port; check in to your private cabin on traditional Halong bay junk. The junk sets sail while you enjoy some welcome drink and see a little of this busy seaport. The junk cruises into the bay with a short brief of cruise manager then you will have a sumptuous seafood lunch and spend the afternoon cruising past the many limestone peaks and islands that form this picturesque Halong bay of Vietnam. Relax on deck of the cruise this afternoon and overnight onboard

Day 03: Halong bay – Hanoi – night train to Lao Cai for Sapa (B/L)
Wake early as the mist rises over the Halong bay, an ideal time to take pictures. Enjoy breakfast and continue your Halong cruise trip, after the brunch then clear bill while returning to shore. Our vehicle picks you up at the Halong port then transfer back to Hanoi.
Upon arrival in Hanoi, we pay a short visit to Temple of Literature and Hochiminh Mausoleum just nearby (take photo outside). Free for your dinner before a short transfer to Hanoi’s railway station for train ride to Sapa. Your accommodation is a shared 4 berth compartment, complete with sleeper beds and crisp linen sheets. Overnight on train

Day 04: Lao Cai station arrival – uphill to Sapa (B/L)
Wake early and marvel at the remarkable scenery as you roll into Lao Cai station - 30km from Sapa town. On arrival at around 5am, be picked up and transferred uphill to Sapa town, check in to the hotel and enjoy breakfast before exploring this scenic and cultural area of French style town - Sapa. Today visit Sapa’s market to see traders selling their wares, journey to the top of Ham Rong Mountain and marvel at the scenic panorama from this hilltop location. Visit a local ethnic minority village – Sin Chai - to gain an insight into the life and culture of these unique hill tribes. Return to your hotel late afternoon. Overnight in one of Sapa's hotels

Day 05: Sapa’s villages tour or local market visit – night train to Hanoi  (B/L)
Wake up early in the morning. The pure atmosphere and stunning scenery of highland town, Sapa will help you freshen up. Depends on the date we have two options: to visit ethnic minority villages around Sapa or drive to Bac Ha market on Sunday, CCoc ly Market on Tuesday and Can Cau market on Saturday. There, you can discover and even join trading activities of real hill-tribe people. Luncheon served at local restaurant. In the afternoon, transfer to Lao Cai Railway Station for a night train back to Hanoi. Overnight  on Shared 4 berth AC Cabin

Day 06: Hanoi station arrival – flower market - Duong Lam visit (B/L)
Picked up the early morning for a short refreshing up by a visit at local flower market. This is whole sales flower market gathering in very early morning only near West lake. After the visit, we will enjoy breakfast with a fantastic food eaten by Hanoians everyday – Pho (Rice noodle) then get ready for our village tour.
We drive out of town to reach the most typical traditional village of Red river delta – Duong lam village. Duong lam is 50km from Hanoi center. The village has some ancient houses even 400 hundred years old built by unique materials: da ong. Lunch at an ancient house.
On the way back to Hanoi center, we stop for a visit of Ethnology museum to know something about Vietnamese ethnic minorities or taking an hour cyclo around Ancient Quarter followed by a fascinating Water Puppet show. Overnight in Hanoi
***Note: the Ethnology Museum closed on Monday and Friday.

Day 07: Hanoi Departure (B)
This holiday only shows you the North part where is the heart of Vietnam located. Vietnam has many other beauty spots to offer you such us: river cruises, wonderful beaches, unique water lifestyle, heritages ect along the country's spine. We do hope you will soon come back with us in a thorough exploration. Transfer you to airport then we have to say goodbye
